Second Order
Request an introduction

A private team for founders · by introduction

Your organization, with a second one behind it.

A senior lead and experienced operators take on agreed work across your companies and private life — alongside the people you already have. Only decisions come forward.

What a second organization changes

Advice stops at a recommendation. We carry it to done. More senior people inside your world — not another vendor to manage.

Not an assistant

Senior operators who have run companies, moves and transactions — not a desk that forwards requests.

Not a supplier

Embedded with your Chief of Staff and advisers, working under authority you define in writing.

Not a department

Capacity you widen or narrow by mandate, without hiring or managing another team.

What changes in your week

Everything still moves. Far less of it reaches you. Every thread in your companies and private life routes behind you first. Only decisions come forward.

46 open threads reach you. Every thread lands on you or your Chief of Staff.

Illustrative week. Counts are examples, not measurements.

How it works

You stay in front. We work behind. Before work begins we agree, in writing, what reaches you and what we carry — and your people keep their roles.

Full scope, authority and boundaries

In front

You

Set priorities. Approve commitments above agreed limits. Sign. Choose between options we prepare.

Between

Your relationship lead

Owns every mandate. Decides what reaches you and when. Reports in one short weekly note.

Behind

The team

Operators run the work. Your Chief of Staff, COO, CFO and advisers stay in their roles; we take on the capacity behind them.

What we take on

  • Executive operations
  • Strategic initiatives
  • Support for your executives
  • The personal office
  • Specialist coordination
  • Research and follow-through

We do not give legal, tax, investment or medical advice. We work with the licensed professionals you have.

What working with us looks like

One note. Friday. Two minutes. Decisions first, everything else already handled — readable between two meetings.

Decisions first

Each with a recommendation and the time it needs.

Then what moved

Already handled. Nothing asked of you.

18:40Fri

Your relationship lead

Friday — week of 10 March

Needs you · 2

  • Lisbon: choose between two structures

Option B recommended. One page enclosed. About ten minutes.

  • Foundation: approve three of seven grants

    Reasons attached for each.

Moved, nothing needed · 4

  • Board pack — both CFO inputs in; final review Tuesday with your chief of staff.
  • Coast house — contractors start on the 21st.
  • Events agency — two finalists; your COO is deciding.
  • Insurance renewals across three properties — consolidated with your broker.
On the record: a call-back to your counsel was a day late. We have changed how call-backs are tracked.

Mistakes on the record

In writing, before you have to ask.

Two minutes

Read on a phone, between other things.

Illustrative note. Names and details are invented.

An engagement, illustrated

The Lisbon mandate. A founder wants a European base open by July. The executive team is fully committed elsewhere. Seven weeks — what reached the founder, and what stayed behind.

Illustrative composite. Not a client, not a result.

  1. Day 0 · Reached you

    You authorize the mandate

Objective, budget ceiling, and which decisions stay with you. Forty minutes.

  2. Day 0 · Behind — the team

The lead accepts it, by name

Two written pages by the evening. Your COO may approve within the ceiling.

  3. Week 1 · Behind — the team

    The team assembles

Local counsel, employment counsel and a property adviser engaged under NDA. Your CFO receives one data request, not twelve.

  4. Week 3 · Reached you

    You choose the structure

Two options on one page, with counsel’s view of each. Twenty minutes.

  5. Week 4 · Behind — the team

    A delay, caught early

Registration slips three weeks. An interim arrangement, reviewed by counsel, approved by your COO inside her authority.

  6. Week 6 · Reached you

    You sign the lease

Negotiated inside the ceiling. One signature.

  7. Week 7 · Behind — the team

    Closed, with a record

One page: what was done, cost against the ceiling, what now belongs to your COO — and one mistake, on the record.

The questions founders ask first

Asked plainly. Answered plainly. Six things founders want to know before a first conversation.

I already have a Chief of Staff. Why would I need this?

Your Chief of Staff decides what matters and stays your first counterpart. We add the senior hands behind them — so the plans they make actually get carried, without your office becoming a department to manage.

How is this different from a family office or a concierge?

A family office manages wealth and administration. A concierge books things. We take written ownership of complex work — an expansion, a move, a transition, a season of commitments — and carry it to done alongside both.

Who would actually work with me?

One relationship lead, named in writing, who works with no more than three principals. A deputy who knows your file. Three to five operators sized to the work. You meet your lead before anything is signed.

What does it cost?

Illustrative: $60,000 to stand up over four to six weeks, then a team from $45,000 a month, or from $95,000 for an expanded team. Third-party costs at cost. No commissions from anyone, ever.

What if it isn’t right?

At day thirty we decide together whether to continue. Parting is agreed in advance and handled in writing — including what we hand back to your people.

How discreet is it?

NDA before any substantive conversation if you prefer. A segregated workspace per engagement. We never name clients or use their situations in marketing.

How a relationship begins

Most of our relationships begin with an introduction.

Request an introduction

No pipeline, no follow-up sequence, no questions about your wealth.

  1. 1 of 4

    Introduction

From someone you trust — or directly from you or your office.

  2. 2 of 4

    A private conversation

Ninety minutes, under NDA if you prefer. What you need, where the friction is, whether we fit.

  3. 3 of 4

    A proposed mandate

A written proposal: the team, the scope, your authority, the commercial terms.

  4. 4 of 4

    Standing up

Four to six weeks to integrate and carry the first mandates — then continue, or part as agreed.
